INTREC were engaged by Monash Health to deliver the redevelopment of their MRI and CT scanner facilities within Dandenong Hospital. Carried out in two stages, the first stage involved the construction of a new CT Facility to allow for a new MRI machine. The second stage will include the placement of a new MRI, new fire compartments, lead lining surrounding CT scanner room and RF shielding to the MRI scanner room.

With our area of works fully surrounded within the live Hospital environment, INTREC successfully implemented strategies to supress noise and mitigate impacts to the nearby Staff Offices and Acute Assessment Ward. Our team also undertook the removal of existing concrete from within the internal site, by carefully coordinating trades at staged intervals and reducing the effects of dust to patients and staff.

Stringent infection control and hygiene measures such as airlocks, sandwich panel hoarding, dust-sealing, touchless sign-in procedures, handwashing stations and boot dip mats were used to ensure the safety of all Hospital staff, patients and trade partners.
