Safety
At INTREC, we believe that Safety is Everyone’s Business. We are compliant with the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. Each project will have a Site Safety and Environmental Management Plan which is authorised by Senior Management prior to the commencement of any works.
All members of our site management teams are required to undertake extensive Health and Safety training. As a minimum our staff are required to complete a Learning path annually comprising over 25 short courses covering all major safety topics. Every employee is also required to attend a full First Aid at Work course presented by the Red Cross Australia.

This has a major influence on our repeat business. Our Quality Assurance System is compliant with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 and has been tailored specifically to suit our primary focus of high quality interiors, refurbishment and construction. The system is embraced by senior management and is used daily onsite, in our site offices and by our head offices.

Safety Is Everyone's Business
At INTREC, safety is our number one priority. We believe safety is everyone’s business, and safety does not only apply to being safe on a construction site but rather encompasses all aspects of safety, health, and well-being.
Diversity and Inclusion
Boasting an energetic, positive and unique company culture, INTREC extends our dynamic enthusiasm to our wider community through our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. For INTREC, Corporate Social Responsibility is so much more than just a responsibility, it is a passion and drive to improve our surroundings, shaping communities and building a better tomorrow.
At INTREC we support a healthy and active work-life balance. Our team actively participate in marathons and sporting events to raise funds for various charities. The proceeds from our annual Golf Day are donated to the Bear Cottage Charity, who are dedicated to caring for children, parents and families with life-limiting conditions.
Reconciliation
Our Reconciliation Vision
INTREC’s vision for reconciliation is a united Australia which values the heritage and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, celebrates their achievements and contributions. We are committed to working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, businesses and communities to create sustainable pathways for employment, training and skills development.
We want our workplace to reflect the diversity of the communities we work in, and we will play our part to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have the same opportunity to enjoy a prosperous and safe future as the broader population. Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is currently in motion, working with Reconciliation Australia throughout 2024 – 2026 to meet our deliverables as set out in our RAP.
Our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan
INTREC’s commitment to genuine reconciliation began as a result of frequent encounters with the Aboriginal Procurement Policy, which is designed to increase participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in employment and procurement. We recognised a need to better understand and meet the requirements and purpose of this policy, which is a Federal Government initiative.
Our Innovate RAP has been developed in consultation and collaboration with several internal and external stakeholders including Reconciliation Australia, our First Nations Ambassador/Advisor, Our Cultural Awareness Trainer, Bennelong Electrical Services and Supply Nation. Our endorsed Innovate RAP 2024 – 2026 can be viewed on the Reconciliation Australia website.
First Nations Ambassador / Advisor
Since 2021, INTREC have engaged Greg Davison as our First Nations Ambassador / Advisor as part of the RAP initiative. Greg is a descendent of the Wiradjuri people from Cowra’s Erambie Mission which is located in the Central West region of NSW. He works closely with our RAP Working Group and the wider team to provide an authentic First Nations perspective, providing advice on effective Aboriginal community engagement and consultations methods as well as provide transformative Aboriginal cultural awareness.
Greg is experienced in leading teams and non-profit organisations, conducting strategic planning and organisational development improvements. Greg has been a key part of the development of our Innovate RAP.
Annual Bennelong Cup
In recent years, INTREC was a proud gold sponsor of the Bennelong Cup. This event was established in 2018 by Bennelong Energy Services (BES) directors Gaven Sheehan and Cliff Lyons. The day provides networking opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school leavers, partnering with organisations such as the NRL’s School to Work program, the Waratah Project, and Souths Cares.
Our team participated in the touch football competition and the formalities post the activities, meeting representatives from these valuable organisations and establishing relationships with these key stakeholders. This annual event is an amazing way to provide support and employment opportunities to Indigenous students transitioning from school to work and we are excited to continue our involvement in this event in the future.
