In preparation for a 19-Level refurbishment of existing Guest Rooms, Lobby areas, Suites, Executive Lounge and Penthouses at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, INTREC was engaged by Macroplan to undertake the Hotel’s early works.
INTREC was initially engaged to complete one mock-up Guest Room for QM Pegasus, which involved the demolition of an existing room back to base, new service reticulation and partition walls, a new external window, switch glass and finishes including, new carpet, tiles and stone in the new bathroom. The scope of works also included the installation of overseas procured joinery and FF&E items. Following this, a second mock-up room was also refurbished as part of the works. Our team were then engaged to undertake an early works package, which consisted of the demolition of four levels within the Hotel, as well as associated service demolition works.
The early works package also included the installation of new Electrical Distribution Boards on each of the 19 levels, new fibre cabling and comms room, as well as a full external window replacement to the entire Hotel. INTREC worked closely with various project stakeholders to successfully deliver the two mock-up Guest Rooms and early works within the live environment, with minimal impact to the Hotel’s ongoing operations.
