Cbus Super Stadium is the Gold Coast’s premier entertainment venue Which seats 27,690 people. Owned by Stadiums Queensland, the stadium offers a range of facilities for the community to utilise. Stadiums Queensland appointed INTREC in late 2022 to deliver works to Gate C & D Which Sits on the south eastern Side Of the stadium.
INTREC have worked with Stadiums aueensland for several years now, and we were excited by the opportunity to continue working With Cbus Super Stadium to refurbish another set of entry gates. The scope of works for this project included the removal of outdated entry gate Gates C & D and installation of newly designed entry and vehicle gates which incorporated integrated LED screens, back lit signage along with extensive electrical, communications and security infrastructure upgrades.
The risks included ensuring the delivery Of the gates were programmed to not clash with the scheduled stadiums events. Developing a cladding fixing system so the panels could be clamped to the structure to minimise onsite welding- Procurement and delivery of the project over the busy Christmas and new year period.
We are proud to share that the gates were operational before the first game of the 2023 NRL season (Round 3) Which was always a goal for the project team. We maintained our strong relationship with Stadiums Queensland, and look forward to working with the client for future projects.
