INTREC has been engaged as the Design & Construct contractor for the rollout of the new Service NSW centres as part of NSW Government’s commitment to offer better services to the people of NSW. INTREC were able to commit to and provide the human resources required to deliver 41 fitout & refurbishment projects located within Sydney metropolitan and NSW regional areas thus far.
The geographical locations of these sites remains one of the main logistical challenges. Owing to our extensive subcontractor database within Regional and Sydney Metropolitan areas, we are able to mobilise and co-ordinate the resources required to deliver these projects. One key mandate is to engage as many local contractors as possible whilst one key milestone required for each site requires the early completion and handover of the new communications rooms. This enables the Service NSW ‘IT’ department sufficient time to test centres before going ‘live’ to the public.
The scope of work at each site is quite different: ranging from minor refurbishment at some sites requiring a 3 week delivery period through to complete new service centres which require a 4 to 5 week delivery period. Project works included demolition, new service counters and joinery, floor finishes, partitions/ceilings/doors, shopfronts, painting, signage, FF&E and full services installations inclusive of power, lighting, communications, mechanical, fire, hydraulic, security & audio visual.
