INTREC were engaged by Johnstaff, on behalf of Peninsula Health, to deliver the Community Mental Health and Rosebud Cancer Centre project.
These works provide special resources to support cancer research and patient rehabilitation, while creating a nurturing environment for patients to experience their full potential along the path of recovery.
Site One is the Community Mental Health facility which had minor fitout works to three levels of a multi-story Building on Nepean highway. These works included internal demolition of partitions and floor and wall finishes, as well as carpet, new floor finishes, painting and external fencing.
Site Two is the Rosebud Cancer Centre which entailed the conversion of an existing General Practice Building into a Cancer Centre. These works included the total internal demolition and strip out, new footpath, new windows, doors and lintels, minor slab infill and brick veneer works. Led lining was installed to the consultation rooms, with a new mechanical system installed through out.
Latent and base conditions are inherent risk in all construction projects, which require special consideration on projects that include the refurbishment of existing elements.
INTREC was successful in managing ongoing design changes throughout the programme whilst also managing and minimising COVID exposure onsite.
