Monash University is committed to sport, including club, varsity, social sport and recreational activity on campus. As part of their long term vision for sport at the university, INTREC were engaged to deliver the Northern Pavilion at the University’s Clayton Campus.
The new Northern Pavilion will deliver an exemplary, accessible venue comprised of a high-quality sports function space, meeting the formal sporting and recreational needs of the University’s staff, students, visitors and alumni.
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing soccer pavilion and tennis pavilion with a new structure servicing the tennis courts and new synthetic sport fields. Change room and equipment storage facilities will be provided on the Ground Floor of the new pavilion, while function and viewing spaces will be available on the second storey.
With the concrete structure complete and the structural steel and lift shaft now nearing completion, our team are making inroads into the fitout works on the Lower Ground Floor and commencing the envelope works.
In addition to the Northern Pavilion, the major re-construction, upgrade and expansion of 8 Tennis Courts have been combined into our scope of works, with bulk excavation being currently undertaken.
A reduced campus population during this time, has aided our team in minimising disruptions to staff and students, whilst we advance on heavy civil works to the Tennis Courts.
