INTREC were engaged to construct a new two level performing Arts Centre and refurbish H Block at Ipswich State High School. Towering over 17 metres and built into a sloping site, the new building holds a large auditorium, dividable into three areas using operable wall systems. The auditorium is complete with retractable seating, a dance area and a large stage, complete with back of house facilities and equipment stores.
The new facility also has a full stage machinery and Audio Visual package including lighting booms, curtains and sound system all controlled via the bio box.
We believe safety is paramount, especially when working in live education environments. Our experienced site-based team ensured all school guidelines are met with regards to communication, shut-downs and service disruptions. We staged works and access requirements around peak operating and examination times.
