INTREC were engaged by Transport NSW to conduct a full tenancy upgrade at 27 Argyle Street Parramatta, which consisted of converting 11 Floors of conventional office spaces into a new Activity Based Working (ABW) Facility as well as a new end of trip facility. The ABW configuration was designed to provide a new open plan working environment, encouraging collaboration between different sectors and provide flexibility to workers.
Works Consisted of: Demolition of existing Fitout back to base build, powder coated metal ceiling panels, perforated egg crate ceilings, upgrades to existing core staircases, alucabond feature panels to lift core, polished concreate, bolon feature vinyl, carpet tiles, workstations, bespoke joinery, computer controlled lockers, feature lighting including full upgrades to their communications system, electrical, mechanical, fire and lighting infrastructure.
The main success of this project was the INTREC, client and consultant teams working collaboratively to reach a common goal. Due the tight programme constraints, this meant meeting daily in the initial stages to strategically forecast problems, work through design issues and mitigate foreseeable problems.
