The University of New South Wales engaged INTREC to complete refurbishment works on the Clock Statue and surrounding trees, located on the Library Lawn on the University’s Kensington campus.
This project involved the installation of uplighting and fairy lights in trees around the library lawn, including the removal of existing lights due to the cabling interfering with typical tree growth and constricting the limbs.
Other works included the rectification and repair of bench seating around the library lawn.
INTREC also completed the excavation and construction of a new feature paving area around the existing clock statue, including cobblestone walkways and solid stone bench seating. A crane lift was utilised for the vertical transportation of large stone blockwork that exceeded weight limits of alternative access ways. In-ground recessed lighting was also installed and provides feature illumination for the clock.
This project was successfully completed within high populated and main thoroughfare area of campus. INTREC coordinated with the University to work around exam and graduation programmes.
