The project objective was to convert an administration space into a dynamic collaborative office environment. The open plan configuration increased the staff capacity and the introduction of
breakout and collaboration spaces provides multiple dynamic areas.

Acoustic qualities were an important performance parameter for this project. The Quiet Rooms and Meeting Rooms utilised materials and building practices that delivered the required acoustic outcomes. The ceiling elements were also designed to absorb sound reflections.

The project involved the demolition of the existing fitout back to its shell, including all services and the complete fitout of the space inclusive of finishes, furniture and building services. One of the limitations of the space was the restrictive slab to soffit height which required detailed planning of the mechanical services to ensure both the architectural and services objectives were achieved.

The project utilised high quality finishes with both acoustic and aesthetic benefits, from the commercial carpet tiles to the timber ceiling tiles. Detailed joinery elements compliment the furniture selection and delivers a warm and distinctive style.

An upgrade of all building services was an integral part of this project including mechanical services, fire protection services, electrical and communications services, audio visual services, security services and hydraulic services.

The building services required extensive coordination to ensure they could all be accommodated within a restrictive ceiling space. The acoustic performance of the building services and the build elements was critical to the project outcome.
