WSLSC is a 2.4 million dollar project involving the construction of a new clubhouse. This includes the demolition of over 80% of the existing building and construction of a new two storey clubhouse incorporating a bar and function area, surf school, cafe, offices, gymnasium, change rooms and amenities, education/recreation room, and training area.
The project incorporates a complete services upgrade including new power, lighting and communications throughout, hydraulics, security, fire & audio visual. The structural works involved in the project include screw piles, ground beams, new concrete slabs, structural steel frame and mixed superstructure construction including blockwork, alucobond, exotec panels, FC sheeting and render together with glazed walls, feature ceilings and a detailed fit out.
This challenging project was constructed on the beach front and involves all the issues one might expect of such an exposed location in regards to the choice of materials and methods of construction coupled with the works being carried out in an active beachfront area attached to a Fitness First gym and active surf life saving club operating out of temporary facilities surrounding the construction zone.
The works were executed with minimal impact on all of these core operations whilst maintaining an exceptionally condensed construction programme.New South Wales
