Graduate Accountant at INTREC

We’re seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a 6–12 month fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover), with the potential for a permanent role. You’ll primarily support Accounts Payable across multiple businesses, with opportunities to expand into reconciliations, month-end, accounts receivable and fixed assets as you grow.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business while learning to:

• Manage the Accounts Payable function across multiple businesses, including coding, processing, timely payment of supplier and subcontractor invoices, and reconciling supplier statements
• Create daily ABA payment files
• Assist with supplier and subcontractor onboarding
• Process staff petty cash reimbursements
• Manage subcontractor retention release and payment processes
• Respond to supplier and subcontractor payment queries
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Provide additional support to the finance team as required

The Skills We Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role (beneficial)
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Good understanding of accounting principles and standards
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
