Graduate Accountant at INTREC
We’re seeking a motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a 6–12 month fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover), with the potential for a permanent role. You’ll primarily support Accounts Payable across multiple businesses, with opportunities to expand into reconciliations, month-end, accounts receivable and fixed assets as you grow.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business while learning to:
- Manage the Accounts Payable function across multiple businesses, including coding, processing, timely payment of supplier and subcontractor invoices, and reconciling supplier statements
- Create daily ABA payment files
- Assist with supplier and subcontractor onboarding
- Process staff petty cash reimbursements
- Manage subcontractor retention release and payment processes
- Respond to supplier and subcontractor payment queries
- Support month-end and year-end processes
- Provide additional support to the finance team as required
The Skills We Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role (beneficial)
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Good understanding of accounting principles and standards
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
