The first stage of INTREC’s transformative works at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, Victoria has recently been completed and is now live and operational.
After seven months of construction, upgrades to the Hospital’s Eight Bed Short Stay Unit and internal Operating Theatres are now complete; with the refreshed theatres complying to stringent requirements that allow procedures to be carried out in the space.
Constructed on concrete columns, with a suspended concrete slab and steel structure above, the interior fitout saw the delivery of eight short stay beds, a staff base and offices.
External carpark works were also undertaken, creating more efficient access for the growing number of patients and visitors at the hospital.
This project reflects the increasing need for more adequate resources, space and equipment at West Gippsland Hospital.
INTREC are proud to open this facility to the Warragul community in an upgrade that will continue to benefit the patients and staff of the hospital for many years to come. We now look forward to handover of the Third Operating Theatre, due for completion in September 2019.
