Construction and fitout of new purpose built monitoring facility for the Logan councils network of ‘city safe’ and corporate network CCTV cameras.

The new monitoring center backed onto the existing which needed to be kept operational at all times during the construction period while also sharing power supplies and mechanical systems that where to be decommissioned. This became a challenge during testing and commissioning due to the fact that certain feeds where unable to be brought across to the new system until final cut-over.

The video wall is capable of switching between single images and up to 6 images per screen with a total capability of viewing up to 108 camera feeds simultaneously.

The VMX system itself, required components to be custom built in the USA, freighted to Finland where further custom programming was completed then shipped to Australia where further customization and programming was completed. There were also several software companies involved of which had to complete separate programming to ensure all systems where compatible with each other as well as external systems used by QLD police, QLD rail and remote operators utilizing mobile tablets and smartphones to link to the system.
