Design Manager at INTREC

You will be reporting and working alongside the project delivery team to help facilitate, coordinate and develop smart designs and creating value all the way through to completion. Your role will be tasked but not limited too:

  • Working within your project team, your role will be to coordinate the design phase of the project
  • Successfully coordinate all stages of the development project
  • Achieve time and cost targets whilst maintaining design intent and quality requirements
  • Ensure that the design documentation meets the approved budget and cost plan for the project
  • Space planning and creating submissions
  • Ensure that design change control processes are effective
  • Assisting in the conversion of project opportunities
  • Liaising with clients to develop design briefs in accordance with cost plans
  • Build strong relationships with a range of external key stakeholder

The skills we need

  • Tertiary qualification in a Architecture, Engineering or similar
  • Previous experience in Design Management with a commercial construction company
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Good knowledge of the Australian development and building process, regulations & standards etc.
  • Experience in Health, Aged Care and Education is highly desirable
  • A track record in preparation of tenders and bid management
  • Experience using some of the following; CAD (Autocad or Revit), Sketchup, Adobe Suite, MS Project & MS Office
