Our QLD team are well and truly underway with the INTREC construction project at Redlands IndigiScapes Centre in Queensland.
Consisting of an extension to the existing education/theatrette facility and the construction of a brand-new administration building, INTREC have been onsite delivering the works since June 2019.
With framing, external cladding and steel installation currently being carried out, the team recently completed the majority of the framing for the rotunda roof, new amenities area and café. The electrical underbore and new consumer mains have now been run from the street to the existing structure at the site.
The team are looking forward to the delivery and installation of the steel in the Administration Centre and Theatrette, along with the carpentry works to the new Administration Centre.
This is perhaps the most highly anticipated element of the project, as the team will start to see the project come out of the ground.
Structural and conceptual re-designs and engineering hurdles have been a challenging aspect of the project, with the team managing to overcome these obstacles to forge a clear way forward.
In the next month, the Café, rotunda roof and interpretive display will be completed. The team are looking forward to seeing the rotunda roof and soffit line in it’s completed state, as it has been designed to form the visual ‘wow’ factor of the Visitor Centre.
